Rowe Express Collection II

The Rowe Furniture Kara Swivel Glider Chair combines effortless elegance with practical functionality through American craftsmanship and thoughtful design. Measuring 33 inches wide by 39 inches deep by 38 inches high, this chair provides generous seating that accommodates comfortable lounging without overwhelming living rooms, nurseries, or reading corners. The clean-lined modern silhouette brings contemporary sophistication while the gentle gliding motion and smooth 360-degree swivel base deliver dynamic comfort perfect for feeding babies, reading, or simply relaxing at the end of long days.

Upholstered in Crypton Nomad Snow fabric, the Kara chair delivers performance features typically found only in commercial-grade furniture. Crypton fabric resists stains and moisture through innovative fabric technology that protects fibers at the molecular level, preventing spills from penetrating while maintaining the soft, inviting texture expected from premium upholstery. This makes the chair ideal for high-traffic areas, homes with children or pets, and nurseries where inevitable spills occur regularly. The pristine snow-white color remains beautiful through daily use without requiring constant cleaning or special treatments.

Cloud Down cushioning provides plush support that balances sink-in comfort with appropriate firmness, ensuring extended sitting sessions remain comfortable without causing the sagging or flattening common in lesser-quality chairs. The 22-inch seat depth and 21-inch seat height create ergonomic positioning suitable for various body types and uses, from nursing newborns to curling up with books. Part of Rowe's Express Collection, this chair ships as shown without custom wait times, delivering American-made quality craftsmanship promptly while maintaining the option to customize through Casa Bella Decor for those seeking different fabric options across Rowe's extensive collection.

American Made Quality

Crafted in the USA, the Kara chair reflects Rowe Furniture's commitment to domestic manufacturing and quality craftsmanship. American construction ensures adherence to strict quality standards while supporting domestic workers and manufacturing infrastructure. The 115-pound weight indicates substantial construction using quality materials and hardware that provide stability during swiveling and gliding motions without wobbling or feeling unstable.

Crypton Performance Fabric Technology

Crypton fabric represents advanced textile engineering that protects at the molecular level rather than relying on topical coatings that wear away over time. This technology prevents liquids from penetrating fibers, allowing spills to bead up for easy blotting before staining occurs. The moisture resistance also inhibits mold, mildew, and bacterial growth, making Crypton ideal for nurseries and high-humidity environments. Despite these performance features, the fabric maintains soft hand feel and breathability, avoiding the stiff plastic-like texture common in lesser performance fabrics.

Daily Crypton Fabric Care

Vacuum upholstery regularly using soft brush attachment to remove dust and debris. Address spills immediately by blotting with clean, absorbent cloth. The Crypton fabric's moisture resistance allows most liquids to bead on the surface for easy cleanup before penetration occurs.

Stain Removal

For fresh spills, blot immediately with white cloth working from outside edges toward center. For set stains, use mild soap and water solution applied with damp cloth, blotting gently without saturating fabric. Crypton fabric can be cleaned with bleach solution (10:1 water to bleach ratio) for stubborn stains without damaging fibers or color.

Mechanical Maintenance

Check swivel and glide mechanisms periodically to ensure smooth operation. Tighten any loose hardware as needed. The substantial 115-pound construction provides stability, but proper floor protection such as area rugs can prevent base from scratching hardwood or damaging carpet fibers during swiveling motion. Clean base and legs as needed with appropriate cleaner for finish type.

What is Crypton fabric?

Crypton is performance fabric technology that protects fibers at the molecular level, providing permanent stain and moisture resistance without topical coatings. It maintains soft texture while resisting spills, mold, mildew, and bacteria, making it ideal for high-traffic areas and nurseries.

Can I customize the fabric?

Yes. While the Express Collection ships as shown in Crypton Nomad Snow, Rowe Furniture offers extensive fabric customization options. Contact Casa Bella Decor directly at 817.896.8904 to explore custom fabric selections for chairs, sectionals, and sofas.

What is Cloud Down cushioning?

Cloud Down is Rowe's cushioning system that blends down-like softness with supportive resilience. It provides plush comfort for extended sitting while maintaining shape and preventing the flattening that occurs with standard foam-only cushions.

Is this suitable for a nursery?

Absolutely. The combination of gentle gliding motion, comfortable swivel function, stain-resistant Crypton fabric, and plush cushioning makes this chair ideal for nursery use during feeding, rocking, and bonding with babies. The snow-white color adds serene elegance to nursery spaces.

How long does Express Collection shipping take?

Express Collection items ship promptly as shown without custom manufacturing delays. Contact Casa Bella Decor for current shipping timelines, as delivery times vary based on location and current inventory levels.

Will the white fabric show stains easily?

Despite the pristine white color, Crypton fabric's stain resistance technology prevents most spills from penetrating fibers. When spills are addressed promptly by blotting, the fabric maintains its clean appearance. The ability to use diluted bleach for cleaning provides additional stain-fighting capability for white Crypton upholstery.
