Chair Style Selection

Choose Dining Armchair or Dining Armless Side Chair based on your seating arrangement. Armchairs work beautifully at table ends and include a kidney pillow for enhanced comfort. Side chairs maximize capacity along table sides and fit closer together for larger gatherings.

Fabric Selection

Browse the complete Rowe fabric library at Rowe Custom Fabric Options. Select from Kid-Proof performance fabrics engineered for stain resistance, traditional textiles, and designer patterns across multiple price grades. Armchair kidney pillows can be customized in coordinating or contrasting fabric.

Caster Options

Order chairs without casters for stationary placement, or add Brass or Pewter casters for effortless movement across hard floors. Casters allow guests to slide in and out from the table smoothly during meals and gatherings.

Slipcovered Construction

The removable slipcover fits tailored over tight back and tight seat cushioning for a polished, structured appearance. Unlike loose covers that shift and bunch, Rowe's fitted slipcovers maintain a clean silhouette while still allowing easy removal for cleaning or seasonal updates.

American Quality Standards

Virginia craftspeople cut, sew, and fit each slipcover by hand to ensure precise tailoring and quality construction. Rowe's 75+ years of domestic upholstery expertise ensures durability that withstands daily family meals and years of gatherings around your table.

Remove slipcovers for cleaning according to fabric care instructions provided with your order. Many Kid-Proof and performance fabrics allow machine washing on gentle cycle, while others require spot cleaning or professional care.

Blot spills immediately before removing covers to prevent moisture from reaching the cushioning beneath. Vacuum the chair frame periodically while slipcovers are removed. Follow specific care guidelines for your chosen fabric to maintain appearance and longevity.

How does the slipcovered version differ from standard upholstered?

Slipcovered chairs feature removable fabric covers that can be taken off for cleaning or replacement. Standard upholstered versions have fabric permanently attached to the frame. Both share identical dimensions and tight seat/back construction beneath.

Can I order replacement slipcovers later?

Contact Casa Bella Decor to inquire about ordering additional slipcovers in the same or different fabrics. Having multiple covers allows seasonal changes or keeps a spare ready while one is being cleaned.

What is the kidney pillow included with armchairs?

The kidney pillow provides lumbar support and added comfort during extended seating. You can customize the pillow fabric to match or complement your slipcover choice, creating a coordinated or accent look.

Are slipcovers machine washable?

Washing depends on your fabric selection. Many Kid-Proof performance fabrics allow machine washing on gentle cycles. Natural fibers like linen may require spot cleaning or professional care. Confirm care requirements when selecting your fabric.

American Manufacturing Heritage

Rowe Furniture has handcrafted custom upholstery in Virginia since 1946. Skilled craftspeople cut, sew, and fit fabric to each frame by hand, ensuring precise tailoring and consistent quality across every dining chair produced.

Sustainable Practices

The EcoRowe Initiative drives sustainable manufacturing with fabrics produced from natural and renewable fibers. Rowe sources 97% of cotton from recycled materials and harvests wood from domestic forests certified by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative.

Vacuum upholstered surfaces regularly using a soft brush attachment to remove dust and debris. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth before moisture penetrates the fabric.

Kid-Proof and performance fabrics clean easily with mild soap and water solution. Test cleaning products in an inconspicuous area first. For detailed care instructions specific to your chosen fabric, reference the care guide provided with your order or contact Rowe Furniture directly.

How long does custom production take?

Rowe custom dining chairs are made to order and typically require 8 to 12 weeks for production and delivery. Lead times vary based on fabric availability and current manufacturing schedules. Contact Casa Bella Decor for current timing.

Can I order fabric samples before purchasing?

Yes. Contact Casa Bella Decor to request fabric samples of your preferred materials. Seeing and touching fabrics in your home lighting helps confirm color and texture choices before placing your custom order.

Are Kid-Proof fabrics comfortable?

Absolutely. Rowe's performance fabrics combine stain resistance with soft, breathable textures that feel comfortable during long dinner conversations. The protective treatment is applied to quality fabrics, not low-grade substitutes.

Should I choose armchairs or side chairs?

Many customers order armchairs for table ends and armless side chairs along the sides. This combination provides visual balance, comfortable seating variety, and maximizes capacity. Side chairs alone work well for tighter spaces or uniform looks.
